Ditch The Nest

Hello, we are Jen and Laney!  A couple of midlifers trying to prepare for that next stage,,, the empty nest!  Late in 2019 we planned a trip to Charleston, South Carolina to take in the fall coastal town full of antebellum architecture and neoclassical city planning along with a heaping helping of Southern cuisine all while searching for the Secret.  Since that trip we've decided to embrace how we can live and work nomadically in what will be our "empty nest" years by documenting what we find, experience and can recommend to others with similar dreams.  This website, our travel videos and social media pages are our preparation for what we hope is many years of adventure.
